Joan M. McDonald, Project Director of the Westchester County Association’s Smart City for Gigabit Initiative, will moderate a panel “Cities Ask for Help: Managing the RFP Process” at the Gigabit City Summit in Kansas City, August 1-3, 2017 to which the WCA is sending a contingent. The summit is expected to attract 350 leaders from across the nation who either have built or are planning to build out gigabit fiber networks in their respective cities.
The Fourth Annual Women in Tech Awards Luncheon on Thursday, June 22, honored four more outstanding women who have made their mark in STEM fields. Rita Cosby, the Emmy Award-winning TV host, radio star, and bestselling author moderated the event which drew over 200 people at Tappan Hill Mansion.. As always, it was a spirited and moving event. THE ACA REPEAL NEEDS A DOCTOR
Most people are surprised when we say “Be careful what you wish for” as it relates to the repeal of the ACA, also known as Obamacare. I would say Congress should not repeal it. Coming from a businessman, that may seem surprising. So why am I being so cautious? I’m thinking of Westchester.
