  • WCA Group is Monitoring Key Legislation in Albany

  • As the current legislative session in Albany heads into its final weeks, the Westchester County Association's legislative watchdog group, The Call to Action Committee, continues to keep a close eye on proposed legislation that...

    could be harmful to business.

The County Association has partnered with statewide partners in the Let New York Work Coalition, to oppose the Service Worker Prevailing Wage Expansion (A.9375) and to oppose the expansion of the Prevailing Wage Bill for offsite fabrication (materials used in connection with a public work project). Additionally, we've  urged Albany to advance statutory changes to Labor Law Sections 240/241, commonly referred to as the “Scaffold Law” and supported bill A10007 to control medical liability costs.

For more information about these proposed bills and our business advocacy programs, please contact Dorothy Forcina.
