...to the Supreme Court, County Court, Surrogate’s Court, Family Court, New York City Civil Court, District Courts and City Courts. They evaluate local candidates for elective judicial office to ensure that they possess the qualities necessary for effective judicial performance. Among those qualities are: professional ability; character, independence and integrity; reputation for fairness and lack of bias; and temperament, including courtesy and patience.
“The object is to ensure that voters are provided with as much information as possible about the qualifications of candidates for judicial office,” said Mooney. “It is a tremendous honor and responsibility.”
Recently, Mooney enjoyed another honor when he was elected chairman of the Board of Directors of the CMS Bancorp, Inc., and CMS Bank (formerly Community Mutual Savings Bank). Mooney had been a director on both the company's and the bank's Boards of Directors since 2011.
We are fortunate, indeed, to have Bill at the helm of the Westchester County Association. It’s an amazing enterprise that has been made even greater by his presence.
