Westchester County Association Finds Flaws in New York State Budget

The Westchester County Association is against the continued energy tax (18a assessment) and feels that the millionaires tax will only exacerbate the exodus out of NY State that we have seen over the last 10 years.
More importantly, there is nothing in the budget to address mandate relief which was supposed to follow after the tax cap was put in place (it was why the WCA supported it). Further, there has been nothing proposed to ease the pension burden that's hurting many municipalities (to the tune of 20-25% increases annually).
