• Why we Advocated for FASNY

  • FEBRUARY 04, 2016 | ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

  • Despite a court order, there’s still no decision on the fate of the FASNY/French-American School of New York’s proposal to redevelop the former Ridgeway Golf Club in White Plains into the school’s new campus. In 2012, with the BLUEPRINT for Westchester as our guide, the WCA advocated for the project due to its...

....respect for maintaining open space and character of the neighborhood, but also because it would bring over 100 new jobs to White Plains and throw off more than $110 million in revenue – hugely important in today’s economy.

As the BLUEPRINT seeks to attract foreign investment in the county, it is critical that Westchester grow its current cultural and educational infrastructure to support the employees and their families who are moving here from around the globe.

Our hope is that this project goes forth.
