Westchester is home to a $15 billion healthcare industry which generates thousands of jobs, but here’s the surprise: more and more of these jobs are in IT, and they are as fast-paced and cutting edge as jobs in Silicon Alley.
Customer Satisfaction is a pressing need in all businesses, yet the social techniques and execution of client relations are often lacking. In fact, there’s a skill gap, according to the Westchester County Association, which is offering Customer Satisfaction as the next course at the Hudson Valley Workforce Academy.
The Westchester County Association officially welcomed North Shore-LIJ and its President and CEO Michael Dowling to Westchester County at a special reception held last week at the Westchester Country Club and attended by key political leaders and healthcare and business executives. WCA Chairman William Mooney, Jr., praised North Shore-LIJ’s commitment to providing high-quality healthcare to the region, and said the WCA looks forward to collaborating with the organization, which is the largest private employer in New York State, and the 14th largest healthcare system in the nation.
One of the biggest hurdles for entrepreneurs is getting new innovative products before people who can actually decide whether or not to buy them. Now health tech entrepreneurs, developers, and startups can get some “Face Time” with real decision makers at the first-ever “Face Time for Entrepreneurs” pitch session, which will take place May 19 at Health Tech ’15, the Westchester County Association (WCA)-sponsored conference that reflects Westchester County’s status as a growing hub of health and technology-related innovation in New York and nationwide.
