Ashruth Easwar has been selected for a prestigious professional opportunity that will enhance his leadership and management skills and help him have a greater positive impact on his community. As the winner of the 2015-2016 Westchester County Association Young Professionals Group Scholarship for Leadership Westchester, Easwar will participate in an intensive, nine-month program geared toward preparing today’s passionate professionals for tomorrow’s positions of influence.

According to a report released by Alexander Roberts, executive director of Community Housing Innovations, young people are leaving some of the wealthy towns in Long Island and Westchester County in droves. The fair housing advocacy group found that villages and towns with the “most expensive housing in the least diverse communities” have seen a drop in the population of 25-34-year-olds since the year 2000.
